Manchester United got one over on one of their fiercest rivals this weekend, with Louis van Gaal’s side securing their fourth victory in a row over Liverpool. It was a real smash and grab affair, but in those types of games, its all about securing the three points and we managed that.
For his performance in that game, Wayne Rooney has earned a deserved place in the Press Association’s Premier League Team of the Week, alongside the likes of Sergio Aguero, James Ward-Prowse and Benik Afobe.
Our captain has been in sensational form since the turn of the year, having found the net in every game he has played this term, including a superb brace against Newcastle United last midweek.
If he keeps this form up, he is certainly going to start charging us up the Premier League table quickly, which is massive for both the fans and Louis van Gaal.
