Manchester United’s players had their final training session before the eagerly anticipated clash against West Ham tomorrow, and Louis van Gaal will be keen to get back on the front foot with a home victory. One man who has been influential in recent weeks is Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The German scored the equaliser with a bullet header last weekend, and in the game before against Watford he forced United’s late winner that eventually went in off Troy Deeney.
Schweinsteiger was spotted in training today, working hard as per usual and it looks as though he is almost certain to once again play in the heart of midfield – probably alongside Morgan Schneiderlin.
He is fast becoming a fan favourite here in Manchester, and its easy to see why. It looks as though he just cruises through games but when you watch him closely, he dominates the centre of the park almost single-handedly, and he is a real leader too.
