Manchester United certainly must have been on the brink of parting ways with Louis van Gaal just before the new year began, with the Dutchman bringing plenty of below-par performances to the table – almost going winless in the month of December.
However on Monday night, Sky Sports revealed this interesting graphic, which puts United top of the ‘top six head-to-head meetings’ table since August 2014 (Louis van Gaal’s arrival at Manchester United).
We’re not only just top of the table either, we have a massive seven point gap over Chelsea who sit in second place on the table.
Now, twelve of our points have come against Liverpool, which is a massive portion considering there are four other opponents involved.
At the end of the day though, Louis van Gaal clearly knows how to get results against the bigger boys, so if he can sort out his form against the lesser sides, then we could well storm the Premier League if he is still in charge next term.
