Photos: Manchester United star goes down with injury to worsen Van Gaal’s problems

Manchester United’s U21s put in an extremely commanding performance against Norwich City this evening, scoring seven goals at Old Trafford. The man of the match was without doubt Will Keane, but the game will be marred by an injury to Adnan Januzaj.

The youngster went down with an apparent knee problem midway through the second half, but hobbled on for 20 minutes before eventually being substituted towards the end of the first half. As he left the field he was also clutching his hamstring, so its still unclear as to what the issue is.

This is bitterly disappointing for Januzaj himself, as he will no doubt be trying his hardest to impress Louis van Gaal and convince him into giving Januzaj some first-team playing time.

Hopefully the injury isn’t too serious and he can get back involved before the Europa League starts up again, as that could well be his chance to shine.
