Manchester United completed some huge transfer news this summer, but perhaps the biggest deal is yet to happen with widespread media reports suggesting that David de Gea is close to penning a new five-year contract at Old Trafford within the next few days.
That news was immediately backed up by the power of social media, as pictures emerged of David de Gea’s agent, Jorge Mendes, arriving at Carrington. The Daily Mail then went on to say that Mendes was in town to negotiate a new bumper contract for his client.
Signing David de Gea to a new contract would be massive news. It means that Manchester United are extremely likely to get a decent transfer fee for the player when he inevitably moves to Real Madrid in the not too distant future.
