Alex Telles is back out on the grass in Man United training.
Manchester United Football Club have made a steady start to the season, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s boys picking up seven points from a possible nine heading into the international break.
No doubt all eyes are on Cristiano Ronaldo, who could well make his debut vs Newcastle United next time out. However, this fortnight off has been welcome for a couple of other Reds.
First, Scott McTominay, who is back out on the training field following minor surgery.
Then, Alex Telles. The Brazilian left-back has given United a timely injury boost, with the key defender pictured in training for the first time this season. He’d also missed time following surgery.

Telles suffered the injury in pre-season, leaving Luke Shaw as the only viable left-back at United for the first few weeks of the season.
However, the former FC Porto man is now back out there, giving the Baby Faced Assassin another option at the all-important time. Next week, the Champions League starts. The week after, our Carabao Cup campaign begins. At that point, rotation is going to be key and we’re going to need Telles.
I was actually pretty impressed with what the Brazilian brought to the table when called upon last term. Plus, his impact cannot be denied as it was his arrival who pushed Shaw to even greater heights last term.
Hopefully, with a year in England now under his belt, Telles can become even better in the 2021/22 term. No doubt it’ll take him a little while to get fully up to speed as he has no pre-season minutes under his belt, but by October, he should be back to his best.
Welcome back, Alex!
