Manchester United trounced the LA Galaxy 7-0 in the early hours of this morning, and at the heart of everything good was one of the new signings – Ander Herrera. The 24-year old certainly had a debut to remember, after running the show and grabbing himself three assists.
Herrera was absolutely everywhere, and it honestly feels like an age since we’ve seen a midfield display as good as that from someone in Manchester United colours.
He didn’t shirk a tackle, wasn’t afraid to run with the ball and even tried his luck from long distance too. His most impressive attribute was his passing ability, and that was demonstrated on numerous occasions, but particularly for Ashley Young’s first goal.
He was one of only two players who played the full 90 minutes in the Rose Bowl, alongside Darren Fletcher.
