Manchester United made a huge statement of intent on transfer deadline day, as they made the £36million swoop for Anthony Martial, who became the most expensive teenager in football history. The 19-year old signed his Manchester United deal, then immediately flew abroad to link up with the French national squad.
It has been a whirlwind of a week for Martial as he also made his France debut late last night coming on as a second half substitute in their 1-0 win over Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal.
Martial has confessed his admiration for the former Manchester United hero Patrice Evra, as they both took the same career steps switching AS Monaco for Old Trafford.
The two have now been training together whilst on international duty, and there is no doubting that Evra will be telling both Martial and Schneiderlin exactly how special Manchester United Football Club is.
