Manchester United managed to overcome a potentially tricky Aston Villa 4-1 at Old Trafford this lunchtime, but all the hype pre-match was surrounding the ‘Wrong one, Moyes out’ banner which flew over in the early stages of the game. United came from behind to take all three points, which has been somewhat of a rarity this season.
The banner was booed by the home crowd, and David Moyes’ name began to ring out amongst the United faithful once again. Its an odd situation really, because the banner was supposed to let Moyes and the board know how us fans feel. However it seems the flyover has bizarrely put some fans back on Moyes’ side once again.
The banner itself was barely visible from inside the stadium, and personally I feel it was such a waste of £900 from the small minority of United fans who have been so small-minded about the whole situation.
