Manchester United must be absolutely thrilled to head into the international break with a share of the Premier League lead. Jose Mourinho’s men have been in brilliant form, and they more than deserve to be where they are in the table at this point in time.
Of course, it’s still early days and tougher tests are certainly to come. We have to be happy at how we’re playing right now though, and Mourinho’s squad as a whole must be brimming with confidence.
Over the weekend, the Red Devils put a hapless Crystal Palace side to the sword, and for their performances in that game, both Marouane Fellaini and Marcus Rashford have earned a spot in Garth Crooks’ BBC Team of the Week.

Marcus Rashford was right at it from the start. He absolutely skinned a Palace defender, before cutting it back brilliantly to allow Juan Mata to open the scoring. This kind of creativity is exactly what you need when you know you’re in for a tight game. It was the perfect start.
As for Marouane Fellaini, he was simply sensational. He got himself a brace with two tap-ins, but his all-round performance deserves a lot of credit. He won plenty of tackles, lots of headers and positionally he was wonderful. What a great weekend!
