Manchester United’s Premier League season was wrapped up at Old Trafford this weekend.
Amongst all the Michael Carrick praise, the Old Trafford crowd conjured up something pretty special for Sir Alex Ferguson, who has recently been suffering from illness.
Some fans designed an excellent banner for the former Manchester United manager, and it made its debut at the Theatre of Dreams during the 1-0 victory over Watford.
‘Oh every single one of us, loves Alex Ferguson’ rang around the ground throughout the match, and it certainly felt like the perfect time to unveil the brilliant new banner that takes its place in the stadium.
Largely went unnoticed yesterday, but the new Sir Alex Ferguson banner at Old Trafford is superb ? #mufc pic.twitter.com/eoTDE3tcYD

For Ferguson, it’s now all about getting himself back to full health. Obviously, it’s going to be a tough road for the Scotsman, but if anyone can overcome the illness, it’s the great man.
We’ve been supremely lucky as Manchester United fans to witness the best manager English football has ever seen for the best part of three decades. He’s got one final battle to win though and hopefully, he can do it.
Seeing him back in the Old Trafford crowd amongst the fans next season is definitely the dream.
