And Solskjaer has won it!
Manchester United turned it around and pulled off the impossible. Their name is now in the hat for the Champions League quarter-final; and it couldn’t have happened in more dramatic fashion.
Quite fittingly, it was Marcus Rashford who scored the eventual winner, channelling his inner Ole Gunnar Solskjaer by scoring an incredibly late winner in European competition.
The reaction is pouring in thick and fast, and on during famous nights like these it’s hard to keep up. Without doubt, though, the photo of the night came from the official Twitter account, who snapped Solskjaer alongside Sir Alex Ferguson and Eric Cantona…
This is just great. It’s three generations of club legends all embracing as one. In what has been a tough half-decade for United and their fans, it certainly feels like the Red Devils definitely have their club back.
Solskjaer knows what it takes to play for United, he knows what it takes to give your all for the badge. This is a super special night for everyone associated with the club and it’s one that’ll always live-long in the memory.
It certainly looks as though The King, The Boss and The Baby Faced Assassin all enjoyed it, too!
