Manchester United Football Club have got their man. After much posturing on both sides, it seems as though the Red Devils reached a mutual agreement with Sporting Lisbon – and a deal has been done.
The Old Trafford club left it late, with only a day until the window slams shut, but Bruno Fernandes is all-but-confirmed as a Manchester United player.
Credit to the journalist who has been on top of this from the get-go; Fabrizio Romano. Again, he was first to share the below photo of Fernandes wearing Man United colours for the first-time. As you’d imagine, Fernandes looked super-happy, all-smiles in his fresh new tracksuit!
Reality is now setting in. United have a flashy new midfielder who will try and play the forward pass or shoot from distance with accuracy and pace. Hopefully, his game directly translate from the Portuguese league to the Premier League, though that’s easier said than done.
Hopefully, we’ll get an official announcement from the club soon, before we get to see Fernandes in action at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday evening.
I honestly can’t wait to see this lad play. We need to be patient and give him time, but here’s to hoping he’s our fourth successful signing from Sporting Lisbon. I personally have every faith!
