After Manuel Pellegrini claimed that City were now a ‘bigger’ side than their local rivals United, Barcelona’s players and fans have silenced that claim respectively throughout the day. Barca’s Dani Alves has been quoted as saying he thought United were the only team in Manchester until about five years ago. Well played lad.
Also, sellers of City merchandise have been flocking to Old Trafford to shift their stock as there have been more people wandering around the Theatre of Dreams than the Etihad stadium. If you believe reports, then Barcelona fans mass-booked the Old Trafford stadium tour so much, that it has been fully booked up in the hours leading to the match.
