Manchester United’s start to the season has been, average.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is doing his utmost to work his magic on the squad, though these things take time – particularly when he’s only been in the job for about eight months while only having one transfer window…
Five points from four games isn’t going to cut it. The Reds simply have to do more, though what’s encouraging is that United’s new signings have already made their mark. They’ve been our three best players to start off 19/20 which is encouraging for Solskjaer going forward.
Anyway today, Sky Sports released their best XI of the season so far – and although no Reds made the starting line-up, a certain Welshman featured on the bech as the sole United representative…
As you can see, it’s largely dominated by City and Liverpool players, though I think Aaron Wan-Bissaka can count himself unlucky to have not made the bench himself.
Daniel James did earn a place on the subs bench though an argument can be made that he could have actually started in this team – which is rather incredible given the fact he was playing Championship football just last term.
His three goals have all been absolute belters, and he’s definitely bringing some brilliance and magic to the team, which is something United have been lacking in over the last few years.
What’s great for us Reds is that he’ll only get better as he learns and adapts as a player. At just £15million, he’s looking like an absolute bargain already.
