Manchester United’s Player of the Year awards took place tonight, and last time out David de Gea took a clean sweep of the senior awards, scooping both the Players Player and the Fans Player of the Year.
This time around certainly could be very similar, as the Players Player of the Year Award went to our Spanish shot-stopper once more, despite his future at the club up in the air.
Hopefully he does have a change of heart and decides to pen a new deal at Manchester United and stay at the club for a few more seasons yet, but as we all know the lure of his home city, Real Madrid and his family being back in Spain could prove to be too much to refuse.
