Manchester United’s end of season awards show has just finished, and once again David de Gea is the big winner on the night, as he scooped both the Fans Player and Players Player of the Year Awards for the second season in a row.
The shot-stopper has been in sensational form from minute one, and Louis van Gaal praised his development throughout the season as one of the big factors in why he deserves the award and recognition from both the fans and the players inside the dressing room.
Now United’s big task is tying the 24-year old down to a new contract at Old Trafford, but at the end of the day if he does leave you can hardly blame him for doing so as it’d probably be a move back to his hometown and for less money than what is currently on the table.
