Picture: Fan snaps Eric Bailly leaving Old Trafford with ankle strapped up

Manchester United, namely Jose Mourinho have unearthed an absolute gem of a footballer this season. Eric Bailly, a 23-year-old centre-back born in the Ivory Coast. The former Villareal man has been an absolute revelation for the Red Devils this term, and he has turned into a proper fan favourite.

Bailly’s tough-tackling, blistering pace and the sheer pride he shows when taking to the field has been brilliant this campaign. However, during the match against Swansea City today, the centre-half limped off the field with an injury following a coming together. At the time, it didn’t look good.

Now, a Manchester United fan posted a photo of Bailly leaving the ground following the 1-1 draw, and as you can see from the picture below, his ankle looks strapped up pretty good…

Obviously, the games are coming thick and fast and we need all the help we can get at the moment, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. Without Bailly, things will be a whole lot harder, so here is to hoping, this problem isn’t serious.

As Byron rightly states, at least Bailly didn’t require the aid of crutches and he was able to walk on the ankle, so that has to be a good sign, surely?

I guess we’ll have to wait for an official update from Mourinho, who we should hear from at some point this week ahead of our game against Celta Vigo on Thursday.
