Picture: Influential Man United man named in Team of the Week

Manchester United got their first league win in three attempts under their belts at the weekend, and unsurprisingly it came away from home. Mourinho’s side beat David Moyes’ Sunderland 3-0, in a game that was pretty straightforward from the outset.

Nonetheless, three points is three points and our quest for a top four finish continues. Zlatan Ibrahimovic made it 28 goals on the season with a truly outstanding bit of individual skill, and his performance has been rewarded with a spot in Garth Crooks’ BBC Team of the Week.

The things Ibrahimovic is doing right now are just sensational. You have to remember that this is a man who is way past his peak and yet, is performing at such a high level. The goal he scored this weekend just summed up his style of play 100% and it really was something special.

We’re so lucky to have him, and I’d love for him to sign on the dotted line and confirm that he’s staying here for another season. He’s not only an excellent goal scorer, but the influence he has on the rest of the players can only be a good thing.

He’s been our best, most consistent performer all year, and for me he’s the front runner for our Player of the Year award.

Ibrahimovic has been named in the below team alongside the likes of Dele Alli, Eden Hazard and Philippe Coutinho.
