Manchester United Football Club were dealt a blow when it was confirmed that the makeshift right-back Antonio Valencia had to undergo surgery following an injury, and there still hasn’t been a return date given to us by Louis van Gaal or the Manchester United hierarchy.
However, the Ecuadorian international was pictured back involved with his teammates on Sunday night, as he took part in UNICEF’s annual charity dinner – in which the club made a record-breaking £230,000 for an excellent charitable cause.

Its nice to see Antonio Valencia back involved with his teammates in a social capacity, but his return to action cannot come soon enough. Matteo Darmian has been struggling of late and maybe the Italian needs that competition to get back to his best.
