Manchester United demolished Newcastle United 4-0 on their own patch to return to top spot of the Premier League away chart. It was United’s tenth win on the road, all season, and their fourth in their last six. Juan Mata was at the heart of everything good today, showing just what he can do when utilised correctly.
His first goal was a wonderful free-kick which caught the keeper off-guard, and after he scored he ran to the bench towards Spanish compatriot David de Gea. Both shared a hug and a smile, and later we learnt that David de Gea told Juan Mata he would score in the game today, hence why Mata ran over to the dugout.
These two have been inseparable since Mata’s £37.1m move a few months ago, but you just cannot help but love them.
