What a season Luke Shaw is having. The Manchester United left-back is playing by far the best football of his five-year Old Trafford career and it’s truly brilliant to see.
It just goes to show what happens when a player of his calibre can do with a good run of games under his belt. Obviously, he never lost his talent, it was jus the bad luck with injuries that was hampering him.
Today, the Red Devils announced that Shaw has scooped his THIRD Manchester United Player of the Month award this season. As you can see from the photo below, he looked pretty pleased with himself…
It’s the least he deserves. In March, Shaw saved his best till last. Against Watford, he not only won the ball and drove forward with it, but played a Xavi-esque pass into Marcus Rashford who duly slotted home.
We’re looking at a player who is getting better and better as the season is progressing. Slowly but surely, Shaw is turning into the young left-back we thought he could be.
Hopefully, this is just the start for him. He’s now the nailed-on, first-choice left-back at United and going into 2019/20, he’s certainly proving there at exciting times ahead…
