Manchester United are woefully short in terms of defensive options this weekend, as a tough test against Sam Allardyce’s West Ham side looms. Louis van Gaal is without Phil Jones, Jonny Evans, Tyler Blackett and Chris Smalling, meaning Luke Shaw has a good chance of making his debut.
We’ve received the biggest indication yet that Luke Shaw will be making his debut, and it has all-but been confirmed by the man himself. He took to Instagram to post this picture, with the words “Looking forward to the game on Saturday” alongside it, gently suggesting that he could well be starting.
