Manchester United have unveiled a stunning 1968 European Cup throwback jersey. The Red Devils’ won the great trophy for the first time fifty years ago, and this tribute by Adidas is absolutely gorgeous.
The club showed off the kit via their Twitter feed, modelled by Nemanja Matic, Juan Mata and Paul Pogba. I love the fact that the old badge is used, although Adidas haven’t gone away from their iconic ‘three-stripe’ down the side of the top.
This is just great. United should seriously consider doing more stuff like this as I’m sure it’ll be a major hit with the fans – particularly those who have been following the club for decades.
There is one potential stumbling block, though – the price-tag. United are charging £100 for the top, although it does look immensely well made.
Celebrating '68. ???

I’m sure the heroes on that day will be delighted to be reminded by United’s 4-1 victory over SL Benfica at Wembley Stadium all those years ago, particularly the likes of Sir Bobby Charlton, George Best and Brian Kidd; who were the goalscorers that helped United to their first continental trophy.
I certainly expect to see a few of these amongst the terraces next season!
