Manchester United Football Club returned to winning ways at the weekend, following a sticky patch of form over the last month or so.
Newcastle United were on the receiving end of a 4-1 thumping from Jose Mourinho’s men, and hopefully, this is the start of a rich vein of form for the Red Devils.
During the game against The Magpies, there were two standout performers. First up, we have Paul Pogba. The midfield maestro made his return to the team following a two-month absence due to injury. The 24-year-old was comfortably the best player on the pitch.
Another bright spark was Ashley Young. The versatile star played well as the makeshift left-back once again, giving Mourinho another option in an area of the field that has caused problems.
For their displays, the pair were named in WhoScored’s Premier League Team of the Week, alongside the likes of Marcos Alonso, Mohamed Salah and Eden Hazard.

I was so impressed with Pogba. To put in such a display while being nowhere near fitness is truly sensational. It also goes some way toward explaining United’s poor form. Any team would find it harder without their best player.
