Picture: Man United foursome named in BBC’s Team of the Week following Arsenal victory

Manchester United Football Club kept their title tilt on track, thanks to an excellent team performance away at Arsenal. Jose Mourinho’s men put on a show, particularly in the counter-attacking game.

As per usual, Garth Crooks has drawn up his Team of the Week for the BBC, and to my pleasure, it contained four Manchester United players; all of whom deserve to get a mention.

David de Gea is the first Red Devil included. This one was obvious. He made a colossal fourteen saves throughout the game, keeping Arsenal at bay with some sublime stops.

Then we have Antonio Valencia who got the scoring underway with a powerful drive past a hapless Petr Cech. Not only that, though, the man from Ecuador put in a shift defensively, stopping late runs from Arsenal’s full-backs.

Onto the midfield and Nemanja Matic got himself in the team. He’s literally Mourinho’s bus. He parks himself in the middle of the park and doesn’t let anyone past.

Finally, Jesse Lingard. The Warrington-born attacker is playing like a man possessed at present. He works hard, makes intelligent runs and his finishing has improved massively over the last couple of games. Long may that continue.
