Well, this is a sentence I never thought I’d type. Victor Lindelof is Manchester United’s November Player of the Month. Rightly so, too!
After a shaky start to life at Old Trafford, it seems as though the one they call the Ice Man is slowly but surely settling into his new home. For Jose Mourinho, spending big to bring him in from SL Benfica is looking more justified with each passing game.
For Lindelof, this has to be just the start, though. At 23, he’s still young enough to grow and improve, but he has to follow his own path, rather than looking at how Phil Jones’ Red Devils career has gone.

For me, Lindelof’s best game was against Juventus. For the most part, he helped keep his countryman, Cristiano Ronaldo in check. What was equally impressive was the fact that he played on through injury against Crystal Palace to preserve his clean sheet. That fighting spirit has been seriously lacking at this club recently.
I guess the only dampener on it is the fact that he’s currently out injured. We don’t know how long for, but Mourinho said it could be a lengthy spell on the sidelines. Hopefully, he gets himself back and ready to go before the hectic winter period well and truly kicks off.
