Manchester United Football Club certainly had a midweek to remember, thumping Brighton 3-0 before closing the gap on the top-four due to slip-ups elsewhere.
Credit where it’s due, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has this team heading in the right direction and long may that continue. He’s making stellar signings, clearing the dead-wood while playing an attractive brand of football.
United have looked pretty good since lockdown ended, with their first victory at the Amex Stadium highlighting that. In the aftermath, a trio of United stars have been named in Garth Crooks’ latest BBC Team of the Week:

I’d say that the most surprising inclusion is David de Gea. Sure, he made a couple of smart stops to preserve his clean-sheet, but they were saves you’d expect him to make nine times out of ten to be honest.
Harry Maguire rightly takes his place in Crooks’ best defence of the week, with the Englishman putting in yet another commanding performance. He’s more than just an excellent defender for this United team. He’s a leader, a warrior, a winner. Well played, Harry!
Then you have the man who is rightly taking all the plaudits right now; Bruno Fernandes. What’s there left to say about this guy? Work ethic, the ability to try passes that others won’t, the creativity, vision and sheer class. He capped off a stunning display with his first Reds brace and long may that continue.
I would have absolutely loved to see Mason Greenwood get the nod in this team following a goal and an assist. Probably in place of Willian…
