Winger Amad has been spotted back in full, first-team training, ahead of Man United vs West Ham tomorrow.

If you’ve loosely followed Manchester United this season, you’ll know all about the injuries and issues that this squad has had from minute one. Erik ten Hag has refused to use it as an excuse, though thankfully, we’re coming through the worst of it…

The Red Devils have welcomed back Kobbie Mainoo, Luke Shaw and more recently, Christian Eriksen. Now, another player on the fringes of the first-team is back in the mix, and it has been a long time coming for young Amad.

We have not seen the winger since pre-season. He’d pick up a semi-serious knee injury that has taken him the best part of five months to recover from. It has no doubt been a frustrating time for the wide man from the Ivory Coast.

Well, there has been some good news on that front today, giving United a welcome boost. The attacker, who hasn’t been seen since pre-season, is now back in full first-team training.

Photos of Amad surfaced as the club released their usual pre-match training sessions on a Thursday – and it was absolutely super to see him back out on the field.

Yes, he will need time to build up the fitness levels and get fully back into the swing of things, but this is a nice start for him – particularly as the Reds’ struggles out wide continue.

Marcus Rashford is yet to find form. Jadon Sancho remains exiled. Antony doesn’t look good enough. There’s definitely an opening over on that right-hand side, assuming Amad wants it badly enough.

Welcome back, Amad!
