Manchester United kept their winning record intact, but boy it wasn’t easy. Jose Mourinho’s side went toe-to-toe with a resilient Southampton. But in the end, the Red Devils managed to win 1-0 thanks to yet another goal from the boot of Romelu Lukaku.
Huge amounts of credit has to go to our opponents on the day because they made it extremely tough. It really was an intense affair from start to finish, but in the end, our defence prevailed and us United fans were the ones smiling at full-time.
With that said, it wasn’t all hunky-dory for our manager, because, as the game was winding down to a close he was sent off by the referee. At the time, I was extremely puzzled as to why, then a photo that appeared online explained it all. Yes, it’s as daft as it looks.

The Manchester United manager stepped onto the playing field with his left foot… What a shocking piece of officiating to send off the gaffer for that. It’s so petty it’s untrue, and I’m now praying that the self-proclaimed Special One isn’t hit with a daft fine and suspension on the back of this.
We have some tough fixtfixtures coming up and now those games could be an awful lot harder without the help of our manager…
