Manchester United’s Ander Herrera became somewhat of a forgotten man by Louis van Gaal earlier in the season, but since his return, the Spaniard has been a mainstay in the United midfield for the past month, and at this moment in time he looks irreplaceable in the engine room.
Those excellent performances have been rewarded with the Manchester United Player of the Month award, and in a fairly quiet month for the club as a whole, you cannot argue with the fan vote.
Herrera came into the side and seemed to give them a different dynamic in midfield. He isn’t afraid to run with the ball, he makes great passes and his shot is certainly lethal.
