Picture: Manchester United duo named in Team of the Week after great games vs Sunderland

Manchester United finally seem to be hitting top gear under Jose Mourinho, with the Red Devils putting in performances that we’ve been witnessing for the majority of the season – but now the results are flowing nicely and we’ve started moving up the table.

During the traditional Boxing Day fixtures, Manchester United hosted Sunderland at Old Trafford and we managed to put three past the Black Cats in another convincing performance.

Now WhoScored have released their Team of the Week, throughout the last round of fixtures, and it features two of Manchester United’s top performers in that aforementioned game.

Paul Pogba is sitting pretty in the midfield, alongside the likes of Andros Townsend and Dele Alli. The 23-year-old finished with an impressive 9.08 rating thanks to his dominance in the middle of the park – he also tacked on an assist for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Speaking of the 35-year-old Swede, he was also included in the team alongside Eden Hazard up front. This was probably one of the most complete performances we’ve seen from our new(ish) striker, who scored one goal and also grabbed two assists. You’d also argue he could have had a hatful of other goals as well.
