PICTURE: Manchester United fans vent frustration at singing section with banner

Yesterday Manchester United football club announced that Old Trafford will house a permanent singing section in blocks N2401 and N2402 in the North-East Quadrant, which accounts for roughly 1,600 seats. All these seats are available to current season ticket holders, but bizarrely fans currently located in those blocks aren’t guaranteed one.

Many fans have taken to Twitter to express the clubs disappointment in the handling of the situation, as people who have sat in either block N2401 or N2402 for any length of time haven’t been told they may lose their seats before the news was made public.

Initially, the singing section was going to be placed in the current away section, meaning no season ticket holders would have to be moved out of their seats, however the club decided that the best place for the section was the old ‘J Stand’.

Unhappy fans took the banner below to the FC United game to vent their frustration at the clubs handling of the situation, and I must admit it is disappointing that loyal supporters are being removed from seats they’ve held for numerous years.
