Picture: Manchester United man offers injury boost, could solve defensive woes

Manchester United’s defensive woes have been evident recently. Jose Mourinho’s men, unusually, have conceded four goals in their two Premier League outings.

Things aren’t going to get any easier, with Tottenham Hotspur the next team to visit Old Trafford; led by goal-machine Harry Kane.

Eric Bailly and Victor Lindelof both struggled against Brighton & Hove Albion. However, according to his latest Instagram post, it looks as though defender Marcos Rojo is ready to return; giving Mourinho a timely reminder that he is ready and available…

Not long now ???

I like Rojo, I think it’s a travesty that there was talk of him being sold before the likes of Phil Jones and Chris Smalling. The man from Argentina is a brilliant defender, while possessing the right attitude and mantra to play for this club; particularly when the going gets tough.

Rojo picked up the injury in the aftermath of an excellent World Cup, so he’s had little-to-no pre-season whatsoever. Now, it’s time for him to build up those all-important fitness levels as quickly as possible. Thankfully for him, after the Spurs game, there’s an international break, so he has some time to recover and get as close to 100% as possible before the Champions League group games start.
