PICTURE: Manchester United sit top of the Premier League form guide

Manchester United somehow managed to scrape a 2-1 victory away at Southampton last night, with Robin van Persie returning to his brilliant best – scoring two superb goals that gave United all three points. There will be cause for concern though, because there were 6 or 7 performances that just weren’t good enough.

The form guide makes great reading for Manchester United and their fans though, as Louis van Gaal’s men sit at the very top, claiming five wins in their last five games. Second on that table is City, who have four wins and a draw. Sunday’s opponents Liverpool have just 7 points out of the last 15 available, but form really does go out of the window when these two sides meet.

League leaders Chelsea sit in fifth in the guide, whereas this table certainly makes glum reading for fans of Leicester and West Brom.
