Manchester United overcame a resilient Southampton side 3-2 on Sunday evening, with two cooly taken goals coming from the sweet right foot of new striker Anthony Martial. The 19-year old has immediately been a hit at Old Trafford, and his form has been rewarded.
WhoScored.com have named Martial in their Premier League Team of the Week with an excellent 8.91 rating. The striker scored two excellent goals as we’ve already mentioned, but whats equally impressive is other areas of his game.
He held the ball up wonderfully, shown plenty of pace, wasn’t afraid to run at the defenders, won the ball in the air and more often than not made the right decision. At just 19 its amazing to see how talented this lad is, and its frightening to think how far he can go in the game.
Anthony Martial has been named in the side alongside the likes of Eden Hazard, former Red Jonny Evans and the man who scored two goals against us this weekend – Graziano Pelle.
