Manchester United fly out to America today for the start of their pre-season tour, and the club announced the complete list of players who’ll be taking part this afternoon. At first glance, it seems like an odd selection of players, on a list which includes four goalkeepers.
Louis van Gaal will be wanting to assess every player in the squad obviously, but taking De Gea, Lingegaard, Amos and Johnstone seems a tad excessive. Especially when you consider that only three central midfielders will be going (Herrera, Fletcher and Cleverley).
There are also chances for some youngsters. Tyler Blackett, Reece James, Wilfried Zaha, the Keane brothers and Jesse Lingard. However I’m disappointed that they’ll be no James Wilson, Nick Powell, Ben Pearson or Tom Lawrence taking part.

Was rooting for Powell and Pearson to go, seems like people inside Old Trafford dont rate Powell that high
Wilson ,powell , Lawrence should have been given trial – disappointed in this 25 man squad – why the hell is nani ,young and four goal keepers going ???? I can forsee another shit season ahead
Well I’d have thought Powell would have gone due to the lack of mids. And i would have assumed Wilson and Lawrence would have got a nod due to them being pushed through by giggs. Anderson not being there is a good sign, but i would have had Wilson for will Keane, Lawrence for Reece James, and Powell for Johnstone 4 keepers is a joke.
Powell, Wilson and lawrence!! wtf
