Picture: Marc Jurado signs first pro contract at Man Utd

Marc Jurado becomes the latest in a long line of Manchester United youngsters to put pen to paper on their first pro contract this season.

Teden Mengi, Hannibal Mejbri, Shola Shoretire and many others. Manchester United are doing all they can to tie their stars of tomorrow down to new terms.

Today, the Manchester Evening News confirmed yet another new deal had been handed out by the Old Trafford club. This time, it went to Marc Jurado.

The highly-rated teen, signed from FC Barcelona this summer, has signed his first professional contract. As you can see from the photo below, Jurado was all-smiles.

Check out the photo of Jurado signing his first pro deal here:

Jurado is a right-back by trade, having played twelve times for the U18s this season. Obviously, the coaches have seen more than enough from the Spain youngsters to suggest that he could have what it takes to go right to the top within the sport.

Now, for Jurado, it’s about continuing to learn his trade within the U18s, before hopefully making the jump up to the U23s setup within the next year or so.

It’s worth noting that at the time of his transfer to Old Trafford, Barca were doing all they can to keep Jurado at the Camp Nou. Fortunately, for us anyway, the youngster chose to make the move to England.

Hopefully, Jurado can continue to develop as a player pretty quickly. Who knows, he may be on a pre-season tour over the summer, particularly as Solskjaer’s squad will be looking pretty threadbare due to European Championships commitments for many of our senior faces.

Congratulations, Marc!
