On Saturday, Manchester United earned their first victory of 2020 with a rather convincing display over lowly Norwich City.
Sure, the Red Devils were expected to take all three points in this one, though with this United team you just never know…
Anyway, as soon as the first goal went in, courtesy of Marcus Rashford, the floodgates started to open for United and the flashy football that we know they can play was on full display.
For their individual displays, two United stars earned their way into Garth Crooks’ BBC Team of the Week – and rightly so. It’s definitely nice to see a couple of our players in these teams from time-to-time.

First up let’s talk about Rashford. Man, this youngster is in the form of his life right now and I’m having an absolute blast watching him develop and grow as a footballer.
The ball-skills, trickery, pace and finishing ability. Rashford is turning into a player who has it all – and he’s already notched up his best-ever scoring season with 19 strikes across all competitions.
Then you have Juan Mata who has turned into somewhat the forgotten man at Old Trafford. He was handed a rare start against Norwich and my did the Spaniard take it.
He played in a sumptuous ball for Rashford to score the opener and in the second-half Mata bagged another sublime assist with a brilliant pass for Anthony Martial. The ex-Chelsea man is still by far and away the most creative player at this club, and it was great to see him back to his best this weekend.
Same again on Wednesday, eh please lads?
