Manchester United’s warm-weather training session is well underway, as the Red Devils players are being put through their paces by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
The Old Trafford outfit plays their next game one week from today, in a huge crunch fixture against Chelsea. Win that and suddenly we’re right back in the mix to finish in the top four – though victories at Stamford Bridge have been few and far between recently.
Anyway, last night it seems as though a few players have been enjoying some downtime, catching live football themselves. Juan Mata, Nemanja Matic and David De Gea were pictured all-smiles at the Malaga game last night.
Malaga would go on to win the game in the 90th-minute, as they’d beat Numancia 2-1 via their own bit of Fergie Time…
Perhaps this fortnight period was exactly what United needed to relax, recharge the batteries and get ready for a huge run-in – not only in the Premier League, but also in the Europa League and FA Cup, too.
This fortnight has actually been pretty kind to us on the injury front. Scott McTominay is closing in on a recovery, while it allows new signings Bruno Fernandes and Odion Ighalo to settle into life in Manchester. Hopefully, we’ll hit the ground running on Monday Night Football next week.
