Manchester United are currently taking on Tottenham Hotspur in their fourth pre-season tour game, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men looking extremely lively.
Shortly after Anthony Martial scored to give United the lead, Spurs players looked frustrated and continue to go in needlessly hard on Reds players.
Daniel James is copping his fair share of tough tackles, most notably from Moussa Sissoko (on more than one occasion). Well, things certainly crossed the line when the Frenchman needlessly stamped on the Wales international after a coming together between the pair.

There’s just absolutely no need for it. It’s a pre-season friendly first and foremost, so what does this achieve other than ensuring the world knows what an absolute moron Sissoko is?
The referee has just completely lost his grip on this game and the term friendly is used lightly. Unfortunately, someone is going to leave the pitch with an injury at this rate if this continues – and it’s just not nice to see.
Hopefully, the man in the middle can take back control after half-time because this just isn’t necessary. I can almost guarantee a United player will now go in hard on a Spurs player as a consequence, and most likely pick up a booking or a sending off in the process…
