Manchester United boss David Moyes has been installed as the bookmakers favourite to be the next Premier League manager to lose his job. These particular odds come via SkyBet, but any top bookies are offering similar odds for the 50-year old Scot to be next in-line to get the chop.
Last night just after the Olympiacos game, you could find odds of around 25/1 for Moyes to be sacked, but after an outburst on Twitter early on Wednesday morning his odds were slashed to 8/11. Some bookmakers even suspended the betting.

Sack him
Yep too rite hes a ducking nuisance
He is doing a lot of damage, Everton are a different team now he is at Manu enough is enough get rid of him before we become the laughing stock of the Prem league
He simply has to go now then maybe we can finish the season off strong…if we keep him we will fall away
The united board have to wake up and smell the roses and weed away the pest
I hope he gets sacked before the end of the month…pls God
I just say,”be calm and trust moyes . It’s his first season at man utd, he will take some time to settle with this environment. This season is little bit different than what we had with sir Alex ferguson, now moyes has a responsibility to set up a new team of his standard and playing condition. Sir Alex ferguson was too with same problems as moyes is facing today when he started his manager career at mufc.”
Wazza I’m a long serving United fan since the 1960’s. When SAF took over he took over a poor side. Moyes took over a side that had just won the Premiership so has the experience when things go wrong can ride the storm. Giving Moyes credit he has identified positions that need strengthening but then these have needed strengthening for years.
Our players just seem to be going through the motions at the minute and remind me of when AVB was at Chelsea. Our play is slow, old fashioned and lacks imagination. We do not create chances like we used to and we don’t have a Plan B. We will probably keep Moyes until the end of the season and maybe next season as well. I hope I am wrong but I feel Moyes is out of his depth and the players show that on the field.
If he is to succeed at United he needs at least 5 or 6 players in the summer who buy into his Philosophy. Unfortunately we will not finish in the top 4 so no CL next season to tempt the very best to come to the club
Also as stated by sambo it is not a coincidence that Everton are playing the way they are now that Moyes has left.
We have to see out the season and I hope he is replaced by a manager who has won something and can instil pride and passion back into our team.
Brilliant…exactly right. Moyes has been given a league winning side. Not that it was the most talented, but still a league winning side. It either shows how amazing Sir Alex was….or how bad Moyes actually is. It is blowing my mind how he is taking the same squad as last year, plus Juan Mata and Fellaini, and look extremely bad. That game vs. Olympiacos was unbearable to watch. Absolutely heartbreaking to see them play like that. No enthusiasm at all going forward. Going all the way back to the goalkeeper after a corner? Is that a joke? It makes me wonder what Moyes is telling them at halftime. “its ok guys, we aren’t creating any chances or going forward with any pace, but its ok. We’re Manchester United and we sit back and invite pressure and don’t look for anything forward, keep playing like that, looks good. Oh and guys, feed Tom Cleverley, he’s our best player.”
And his team selection has been absolute garbage. Its terrible to witness what he I doing to Kagawa. Such a creative, influential, and lively midfielder. Attempts to create something every time he gets the ball. So promising, and he’s getting absolutely shafted by Moyes.
Wazza Manutd,
U must b very patient. But patience too has its limits. Why is mata being played out of position. Why is Everton playing style is more entertaining? Why is janujaz and kagawa being ignored. Why wasn’t zaha given enuff chances?
Moyes can’t get the results coz the players do not want to buy in his philosophy. I wouldn’t mind if city spank us 8-0 and the next morning glazers sack moyes. I would rather suffer a week than to suffer for years.
