Man United have unveiled a new mural at Old Trafford ahead of the 2021/22 campaign.

We’re now 48 hours away from the big kick-off. It doesn’t get much bigger than Manchester United against Leeds United for an opening day fixture.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer enjoyed this fixture last time around. They’ll be hoping to continue with that form here against a top side managed by Marcelo Bielsa.

A pair of new signings have definitely lifted the mood around the Theatre of Dreams though sadly, it’s expected we won’t see these guys start on Saturday.

There is something new that’ll definitely catch your attention upon Salford Quays, though, a new mural. Thanks to the MEN’s Dianne Bourne for the photos.

I absolutely love this. It’s a proper tribute to Manchester – and of course the biggest club in the world. Both the Men’s and Women’s teams feature heavily, while new signing Jadon Sancho is in amongst it. No doubt he’ll be hoping to hit the ground running here with United.

This club seems to be getting a lot of things right recently, after a few years of wrongs. I really do hope that this is a sign of the times, because when you’re amongst the largest clubs in the world, it’s all about image. The Glazers and Solskjaer are heading in the right direction in that regard and long may that continue.

Honestly, I just can’t wait to see a packed out Old Trafford again. It has been the best part of eighteen months since Red Devils galore have stepped into the greatest stadium in the world for a meaningful game.

The excitement is building ahead of the big kick-off and no doubt the place will be rocking come 12:45pm on Saturday afternoon.

Bring it on!
