Picture: Paul Pogba arrives back at Carrington as he looks to make injury return

Manchester United fans haven’t seen Paul Pogba on the football field since September, during a draw at home to Arsenal. Ankle injuries aren’t to be messed with, though it seems as if the Red Devils are about to get some good news.

Yesterday, the key United star arrived back at Carrington as he nears his return from injury. After working in Dubai, to being spotted playing some basketball in Miami, the 26-year-old midfielder is finally back home – just in time for the hectic winter period.

United’s #6 has been a big miss while he has been sidelined. Fred and Andreas Pereira certainly haven’t cut the mustard in his absence, and although Dylan Levitt looked good against Astana on Thursday, he’s going to need time.

At the very least, this is a step in the right direction for the Red Devils, though don’t expect Pogba to jump right back into action. Solskjaer has already ruled him out of the game this weekend, and no firm date has been placed upon his return.

I’d like to think there’s an outside chance of Pogba taking part in the Manchester derby next weekend, but probably as a substitute.

As long as Pogba is back, fully fit and raring to go for the hectic winter period then that’ll be a huge plus for Solskjaer and the whole squad…
