Manchester United are looking likely at the prospect of heading to Arsenal without their first choice goalkeeper available and ready. David de Gea picked up a finger injury which is set to keep him out of the game against Arsene Wenger’s side next Saturday, and theres a possibility that we could see a debut in goal.
There have been reports that Valdes could sign for Manchester United at some point, and earlier this week he tweeted out that he is almost ready for a return to action. Whether or not the club can get the paperwork done in time is an entirely different matter, and Valdes would probably need time to regain match fitness before being thrown into a game like this, too. But you wouldn’t put it past Louis van Gaal to do so.
