PICTURE: Potential 4-4-2 formation vs Villa – Falcao starts

Manchester United head South to Birmingham this weekend, to take on a resurgent Aston Villa side who have picked up their form over recent weeks. Louis van Gaal will be looking to make it seven wins in a row, as well as looking to pick up their third consecutive away victory after previously going over six months without winning on the road.

The team pretty much picks itself in some areas. David de Gea, and at least three of the back four are pretty much dead certainties. The Rafael vs Antonio Valencia debate literally could go either way, but I’ve gone for Rafael purely because he is the more natural right-back.

Angel di Maria should return in the place of Juan Mata in the middle of the park, and for me he should play there more. It comes as no surprise that he had his best career season playing in the middle of the park for Real Madrid rather than out wide.

Hopefully Radamel Falcao will get his first start since September, too. As he has an awful lot to prove.
