PICTURE: Potential 4-4-2 Man Utd diamond vs Cambridge – Valdes starts

Manchester United and Cambridge went head-to-head just over a week ago, and the League Two side fought valiantly to earn a big payday and a replay at Old Trafford. The game tomorrow should be completely different, as United will have a big pitch, the fans behind them and the much-needed experience that should be enough to see them into the next round.

Louis van Gaal will be wanting to field a strong side whilst giving some younger players some valuable experience and playing time.

James Wilson should get the nod up top, and Ander Herrera will probably make somewhat of a rare start under Louis van Gaal despite the fans’ opinion. Juan Mata will return to the side in the #10 role, with Marouane Fellaini coming in as the holding midfielder.

The centre-back pairing of Paddy McNair and Tyler Blackett won’t really be tested all that often, but they will have to be 100% concentrated throughout the game just incase Cambridge can fathom a counter attack out of nowhere.
