Manchester United head to Liverpool this weekend, with Brendan Rodgers and Louis van Gaal locking horns for the second time this season. The Red Devils are currently edging the battle for a spot in the top four, but they’ll have to be on their A-game on Sunday.
The old saying goes, if its broken don’t fix it. The side were superb against Spurs last time out. so why tinker with the line-up too much.
The only change I’d make would be bringing Marcos Rojo back into the heart of defence if he is fit and available, and we know Van Gaal likes to have one right-footer and left-footer in his side.
Juan Mata was excellent, as was the other returning player Michael Carrick. The man of the match was Marouane Fellaini, and he’ll have to put in a performance just as good if United want any hope of coming away from Anfield with at least a point.
