PICTURE: Potential Man Utd 4-3-3 vs Liverpool – defensive pair miss out

Louis van Gaal takes his side to Anfield for Steven Gerrard’s last game against Manchester United as a Premier League player. There is potentially a place in Europe at stake come next season, so United will have to be on their a-game and do their absolute best to take at least a point away.

The Iron Tulip confirmed that Michael Carrick has penned a new contract at the club, and that should be rewarded with a start in this one.

Theres a bit of a concern defensively though, as both Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo are unavailable to start, but will probably return on the bench. That means Daley Blind and Phil Jones have to start in their place.

Juan Mata should sget a spot in the xI despite Angel di Maria returning to action, and Marouane Fellaini will continue in the #10 spot.
