PICTURE: Potential Man Utd 4-3-3 vs Newcastle – Di Maria out wide

Manchester United took their time, but finally broke down a tough Sunderland side to earn a 2-0 victory with the help of a red card to former player Wes Brown. There is not much rest time though, as on Wednesday United head to St James’ Park to take on Newcastle United.

Hopefully we’ll finally see a switch to 4-3-3, as I believe this is the best formation which allows all of our most talented players to be as effective as possible.

Wayne Rooney spearheads a front three including Adnan Januzaj and Angel di Maria, which has pace, trickery, power and skill. Behind them is a solid midfield three of Ander Herrera, Marouane Fellaini and Daley Blind.

The back five is probably the strongest available to us at present, with Luke Shaw and Antonio Valencia as wing-backs.
